I am sure I can speak for most people that we want to maintain a healthy life so that we can live to old age. One such painful topic that we never like to deal with is weight loss. It’s the kind of thing that we can turn on like a light switch and turn it off on the other side. But not entirely of our own free will. Losing weight and exercising was something I’ve always wanted to strive for and do, but what are the right things for a man my age that I can easily do. I decided to check the green tea diet for thirty days and see what it was all about. I’ve heard so many good things, and doctors and scientists believe this herb has many positive elements that can help me curb my appetite, lower my blood pressure, and feel young.
Just an overview of what I’m dealing with. First of all, I’m around 40 pounds overweight, not the best metabolism, but an active lifestyle full of sports. Secondly, I inherited high blood pressure, it is on both the father’s and mother’s side, it is inevitable! This is the overall realization I struggle with, the basis of my studies. Let’s see what some of the results will be.
I first dived into this diet to achieve one thing, not to lose weight, but to see how it affects my blood pressure without being addicted to high blood pressure medication. I will still eat three meals a day and use the green tea solution as a snack in between meals. Because believe me, I love snacks in between, and who doesn’t? So in early March I took my last blood pressure pill and the bombs fly away!
After drinking green tea for the first week, I noticed a drop in my blood pressure readings similar to what I did when I took the high blood pressure pills. I was shocked because I didn’t think there was anything that could drop it like that. I also noticed less desire to eat when I drink tea, I don’t know where it comes from, but it may be due to fluid replenishment. After a few more weeks, my blood pressure was steady, so I know it’s doing its job. And after the last few days there is still no jump in the readings so I was hooked. In thirty days I also lost seven pounds, very nice! I thought the city legend was true! The only downside, green tea is not the tastiest of teas, it has a hint of grassy seaweed flavor to it, but you get used to it.
In addition, from what I understand, green tea contains antioxidants that prevent disease, smooth the skin, and preserve memory. But seeing the short-term effects, I can say that green tea will be a regular part of my diet. I do not recommend the green tea pills as they have caffeine there, I don’t want to get up until the early hours of the morning! All in all, my 30 day test showed that green tea has wonderful positive qualities that simply cannot be ignored. Let’s see what other effects it will bring in six months!
