If you are planning to go green, you should take this passion and apply it to your cars as well. Nowadays, you can find many fuel-efficient cars that use less fuel than regular cars, which helps protect the environment. These hybrid cars are equipped with a gasoline engine and an electric motor. But going green doesn’t necessarily mean missing out on the style and exterior. With manufacturers now starting to combine the two, hybrid cars are selling like hot cakes.
Here is my list of the most popular and high-end hybrid cars. The following six best-selling hybrids also have many luxury features, which makes them so attractive and, of course, expensive.
Toyota Prius hybrid:
It’s definitely not as big as the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid (mentioned later), but Escalade sales are nothing compared to the selling power of the Prius. In fact, the Prius is the best-selling hybrid car on the market. People who love green love it for its excellent fuel economy and the exterior that has become its signature style. The latest version is larger and more comfortable, and also has solar panels on the roof (which won’t spoil its overall look if you’re worried about it). The cheapest of all on the list, it has an attractive price tag of $ 24,200.
Cadillac Hybrid Escalade:
This great car is a great example of how you don’t have to sacrifice your flash to protect the environment. It is the world’s first full-size luxury hybrid SUV, for a price of $ 73,850. I wouldn’t skip it if I were you as it has features that are totally worth the money. It has a powerful V-8 engine and seats up to eight passengers. Its high-tech interior features include ultrasonic rear parking assist, rear view camera view and music control that automatically adjusts to ambient noise. Compared to the standard Escalade, fuel consumption is reduced by 25%. Of course, it doesn’t save as much fuel as standard smaller hybrid cars, but if you want to combine luxury, space and utility with a more environmentally friendly vehicle, I highly recommend the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid.
Lexus LS600h
For those of you who would like to opt for a smaller but as luxurious car as the Cadilac Hybrid Escalade, this one is for you. It is the largest and most luxurious car produced by Toyota (the parent company of Lexus). It is different and unique both externally and internally. The electric motor can propel the car at lower speeds to save fuel and provide a power boost in terms of fuel economy in a gas engine at its best. I recommend this if you want to combine a thrilling ride with a green ride. Its interior is just as beautiful thanks to the combination of elegant leather and wood. Every Lexus vehicle comes with a Remote Touch Interface (RTI), but this particular 12.3-inch version is more eye-catching than the road. It even has an entertainment system for the rear seats with a cool armpit for cool drinks. Of course, with all these extravagant features, the price of this car is $ 119,910, which exceeds the price of the Escalade.
Toyota Highlander Hybrid:
If you are looking for a family vehicle that can accommodate a large number of people and luggage and is environmentally friendly, then the Toyota Highlander Hybrid is the perfect solution for you. It can accommodate up to seven people and also has plenty of space for luggage, sports equipment, etc. It has a sophisticated 3.5 liter V6 drivetrain with two electric motors. Provides up to 37 percent greater fuel economy. It is also quite durable externally and can easily cope with difficult conditions and uneven dirt roads. Internally, as mentioned earlier, it is spacious with adequate legroom. It is equipped with the latest technologies such as the “Display Audio” multimedia system with 6.1-inch touchscreen and Toyota Entune, which offers applications such as Bing search services, iheartradio.com and Pandora music. The $ 46,370 price tag in my opinion is quite reasonable and affordable considering all the features it has to offer.
Hybrid Honda Civic:
The Honda Civic Hybrid is one of the cheapest hybrid cars on the market, so it automatically earns a spot on this list. It does not differ much from the standard Civic model, which makes it difficult to tell apart. Its gas-electric driveline consists of a 1.5-liter inline four-cylinder i-VTEC engine that works in tandem with an electric motor to provide 110 horsepower and 127 Nm of torque. The exterior is the same as the Civic, but the latest model has been upgraded with slightly different functions and a better interior. The air vents have been improved and the cabin is more soundproof. Overall, the driving experience is also quite enjoyable; it is easy to use and accelerates well. It’s priced at a fair $ 24,360. Recently, however, its price has been beaten by the cheaper Honda Insight.
Toyota Camry Hybrid:
Another Toyota car on the list, which should come as no surprise considering Toyota offers some of the best-selling and popular hybrid cars. Like the Highlander Hybrid, this all in one model also offers excellent performance and a comfortable and spacious interior. The engine is a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder Atkinson cycle gasoline coupled to an electric motor. The car is available in two trim levels: LE and XLE. The former has all the basic functions such as air conditioning, keyless access, cruise control etc. XLE is a more advanced version with very interesting features such as a 6.1 inch touch screen and leather steering wheel with audio control. Overall, compared to the stock Camry, fuel economy is 26% better. The price is reasonable at $ 26,140 and the XLE version costs $ 1,530 more.
