But all of these advances and conveniences have not come without a cost. Due to technological advances since the industrial revolution, the industry continues to pour hazardous chemicals and pollutants into our waterways, the soil and the air we breathe. Science is constantly discovering cheaper and better ways to create synthetic materials that mimic what we can get from nature.

We are surrounded by hundreds of thousands of new synthetic materials, many of which are highly toxic. Much of our water, food and air are polluted with chemicals that are not biodegradable or take years to decompose. Every day we are exposed to thousands of toxins that slowly build up in our body.

The scary thing is that we don’t have to work in a factory or live next to a landfill to be exposed to these toxins. Every day we are exposed to thousands of toxins in our own homes and just leading our modern everyday life.

Many chemicals are consumed by our food and food containers. Pesticides have become the basis for the modern farmer. They are constantly sprayed on our land and then end up in our food supply.
